The annual dog jumping contest at Dog Days offers high flying action and fun for fans of all ages. “We love hosting this event because it’s fun, it’s free, it’s for families, and it helps the Dogwood Animal Shelter,” said Dog Days owner Mark Barrett. Dogwood Animal Shelter, the only no-kill shelter at Lake of the Ozarks, will continue to be the charity to benefit from the Canine Cannonball. Springfield's HOTTEST 80'S HAIR BAND is coming to Dog Days
again. Come be part of a great night.

About the Band:
Exploding on stage amid a flurry of hairspray and screeching guitars, machine gun symphony brings back the era where excess is a way of life. Paying tribute to the now infamous eighties metal genre, m.g.s. Features songs that defined a generation. Showcasing artists such as bon jovi, motley crue, ac/dc, poison, guns n’ roses and more. Not your typical cover band, m.g.s. Pays homage to these classic bands with raw integrity by remaining true to the songs that made this music

Live Music w/ Noe Palma
Event Time 6:00 PM
Wed 8/3
Dog Days
It sure doesn’t hurt having a name like Noe Palma. That’s why his debut is titled “Get My Name Right.” It is very different, unique, and memorable. That’s exactly what fans have been saying about Noe’s music for the past 15 years!

Growing up the Kansas City Metro Area, Noe started singing when he first heard Elvis Presley sing “All Shook Up.” Raised in a very musically passionate family, he was engulfed by different thythms and sounds. Both his parents were talented singers and his father played guitar. Like many of his friends he was a member of his high school choir, but quickly realized that type of music didn’t fit into his country soul.

At the beginning of his career Noe tested the waters with a few bands. He founded a very successful band called The Broken Cowboys and served as their lead singer. They toured Missouri and all surrounding states and played every major venue in the region where they developed a very healthy cult following. In fact in 2001 Broken Cowboys took second place at the Colgate Country Music Showdown Midwest Finals. They were quickly noticed by Tim McGraw’s manager Scott Siman of RPM Management.

Noe has an unparalleled stage show. “I love it when I hear that my show was just as good or better than the headliner! It puts a smile on my face from ear to ear!”

Live Music w/ Driving Wheel
Event Time 6:00 PM
Fri 8/19
Dog Days
The members of Driving Wheel might not be on a mission from God. But that doesn't keep them from existing as blues brothers, driven by a family vibe and a passion to perform for any crowd that will have them. And many have delighted to do so — the band has played at Roots N Blues N BBQ festival, shared a recent bill with Tab Benoit and held hands with fellow local standouts such as The Mojo Roots. The duo that makes up Driving Wheel's core — guitarist Ryan Tomlinson and bassist Jeremy Hunsaker — has fine-tuned a sound that's indebted to torchbearers in the blues, Southern rock and alternative camps. Yet, to hear Hunsaker tell it, the pair's biggest musical influences are one another.
