 Jimmy & Starla Queen are both award winning artists and play a variety of music. Jimmy is a former St. Louis Entertainer, Drummer, and Band Leader of the Year. Starla received the National Academy of Western Artists "2007 Western Swing Song of the Year" and was nominated for female vocalist of the year and cd of the year. The queens have received airplay and appeared on both domestic and international indie music charts. Jimmy has been a member of the International Steel Guitar Convention staff band for over 25 years. Jimmy has opened for several major country music artists in the past, was music director of TNN's pilot "Pappy's Place", and the couple has actually backed and performed with several country music legends. This local duo has been performing around the lake area for over 10 years. Though the duo has an extensive background in country music, they play a variety of styles of music including; new country, traditional red dirt country, swing, disco, jazz, rock, oldies,and blues. The couple also performs live (no tracks) with Jimmy on guitar, keyboard, and harmonica and Starla on bass.

Mexicali Blues Cantina features a full Mexican menu, including a huge and delicious beef and bean burrito. The fajitas platter is almost a meal for two or maybe just one very hungry person. Both of these dinners are superb. However you just might fall under the spell of our "out of this world" lobster taco. Live Blues Entertainment every Monday May through September.
