Dog Days
FunHouse is a contemporary music, high energy dance band.
The band formed almost two years ago, with the idea of focusing on current songs & artists, as there are already a ton of 80's, 90'. classic rock, country, and blues bands in the area. We wanted to play something different that could get dancers excited.
Influences:
All of it…….except polkas. A lot of punk and new wave influences....but still love the classic cats like Sir Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, etc. etc......but we've come to appreciate a lot of current guys.

Steven D. Hunt Sun 6/11
Dog Days
A Steven D. Hunt show is unlike any other you have seen! As a "live" solo performer, Steven plays and loops acoustic, electric, and bass guitars, drums, percussion, keyboard, harmonica, and more...along with a powerful voice,he transforms into a "one man band," and no prerecorded tracks are used..
Steven's own music combines lyrics, a voice, and ever present "groove" to create a sound unlike anyone else. His music has a familiar feel and vibe, with different styles incorporated into his music.
His songs become stuck in your head right away.

Live Music w/ Noe Palma Thu 6/15
Dog Days
It sure doesn’t hurt having a name like Noe Palma. That’s why his debut is titled “Get My Name Right.” It is very different, unique, and memorable. That’s exactly what fans have been saying about Noe’s music for the past 15 years!

Growing up the Kansas City Metro Area, Noe started singing when he first heard Elvis Presley sing “All Shook Up.” Raised in a very musically passionate family, he was engulfed by different thythms and sounds. Both his parents were talented singers and his father played guitar. Like many of his friends he was a member of his high school choir, but quickly realized that type of music didn’t fit into his country soul.

At the beginning of his career Noe tested the waters with a few bands. He founded a very successful band called The Broken Cowboys and served as their lead singer. They toured Missouri and all surrounding states and played every major venue in the region where they developed a very healthy cult following. In fact in 2001 Broken Cowboys took second place at the Colgate Country Music Showdown Midwest Finals. They were quickly noticed by Tim McGraw’s manager Scott Siman of RPM Management.

Noe has an unparalleled stage show. “I love it when I hear that my show was just as good or better than the headliner! It puts a smile on my face from ear to ear!”

Baub Eis Band Live Music Blues / Hard Rock / Jam Band
Thu 6/22
Dog Days
The Baub Eis Band has been rocking the Lake of the Ozarks and the Midwest for over 16 years! John Marsi and Baub Eis are a centrifuge of blues, rock and jam band sounds, and have recently been joined by longtime friend KP Hauge on the bass guitar. Baub lights the guitar fingerboard ablaze with a combination of whatever flavor they feel like throwing into the fire that night - from fiery blues, four on the floor rock, and even occasional space jams supercharged with live looping - always guided by a creative spirit, and always fresh from show to show. In the past few years Baub has opened for acts such as REO Speedwagon, Starship, Willie Nelson, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Marshall Tucker Band, Molly Hatchet, Jimmy Van Zant Band, Unkle Kracker, Head East and Air Supply. Baub has also been seen sitting in on stage with acts such as Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band, Tab Benoit, and The Schwag . He's familiar to many as a semi-finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis - twice with BEB and once as a solo/duo act. John Marsi, a classic member of BEB, has oft been out traveling the world looking for mysterious World Beats. It's always an exciting sensation to have his thundering drumatude in the mix. He has spent time gigging in Las Vegas, playing with a hardcore band in Holland, and other experiences too numerous to mention. John is a local favorite studio musician DJ, and drum technician. KP Hauge is new to the lineup and brings rock solid bass lines and a wry sense of humor - along with a new fervor to the stage act.

June 23: Support Our Troops Poker Run Fri 6/23
Dog Days
We love having poker runs on the water here at the lake, and this is another very popular one that takes place every year. Proceeds raised are used by H.E.R.O.E.S. Care to provide support to military families in the communities where they live, as well as the Global Orphan Project, which mobilizes local churches in some of the poorest communities on earth to care for needy children. Active military members are offered free seats on poker run boats. Lots of fun for a couple of great causes.

Live Music by Chris Weaver Band
Sat 6/24
Dog Days
Chris Weaver was born to make music. Growing up in West Virginia, his father was a traveling musician for over 25 years and music was always around him. From the early age of ten, Chris knew he would be a musician too. He started to hone his craft through influences like Cocker, Petty, Morrison and Mellencamp “It’s all I could ever remember wanting to do,” Weaver states. “I wanted to write like them and sing like them but just do it in a way that would be my own.”
“I want my music to invoke memories of people’s past, whether good or bad so they may have a deeper relationship with what they’re listening to” says Chris. He not only meets this goal, he blows it away in his emotional live shows as well as his recorded music.
Here’s what people are saying about “Standing In Line” Chris’s first CD
“a voice that draws you in immediately... full of raw emotion.” – Hobnob Wilson
“the music feels like an old friend that you’d take on a long road trip.” – Jackson Music Examiner
“The album is an eclectic mix of songs dedicated to those of us still trying to get our lives together sung from the emotional perspective of a raspy-voiced singer.” – Terry Atkins, Examiner.com

Live Music w/ Spontaneous
Event Time 5:00 PM
Sat 6/24
Dog Days
Spontaneous Serendipity was born in October 2011 with founding members, Michelle Knollhoff and Andrew Busen. They started their adventure playing wineries and fine dining establishments, performing easy listening and jazz. 18 months later they decided to bring on guitar virtuoso, Tim Newell which would widely expand their repertoire and musical abilities. They would shift from easy listening and jazz, to Americana folk rock, infused with solid three part harmonies. Soon after, they would begin the writing process for their first all original album, Bridges. Another year or so later, Spontaneous brought on the bass stylings of Austin Webster, and percussion master, Anthony McKee to fully round out the eclectic sound. Having already received wide acclaim for the album in it’s pre-release, this group of artists is looking forward to the next step in their already busy careers.

Quite possibly our most popular annual event every summer is the single largest 1-day boating event in the area - AquaPalooza! We set up a great big lakeside stage and offer 5 hours of amazing live music that can be enjoyed from either the land or chilling in the lake. There is a waiting list every year for dock slips for this exciting event, and people start reserving their spots before the concert is even over! We'll offer more updates about bands and other details before the big day, but mark that date on your calendar right now!

August 11-13: Dueling Dogs Fri 8/11 thru Sun 8/13
Dog Days
We debuted another brand new event last year due to the popularity of the Canine Cannonball, and everyone loved Dueling Dogs every bit as much as its predecessor. Two dogs race against each other instead of going one at a time in this side-by-side, 2-lane, head-to-head race. Start training now, and get your dog signed up for this cool competition next summer.
