Band Bio: A local group from O’Fallon, Mo., “The Rough Riders” entertained and wowed the crowd with some good ole country music such as, Hank Williams Jr.’s “Family Tradition” and Craig Morgan’s “International Harvester.” They were awesome! So much so, that I decided to talk about them, rather than the other politic ians who showed up, like Missouri Governor Matt Blunt and the guy who wants Gov. Blunt’s job, Kenny Hulshof. Don’t get me wrong, Blunt and Hulshof did a fine job preparing the crowd for McCain and Palin, but the Rough Ryders kicked some serious butt and were a hard act to follow! Even country music star and headliner John Rich had a tough time following that act.

2 years in the planning, 9 months searching for the best musicians, 4 months in rehearsal and now this lake area “supergroup” is at Capt Ron’s July 4th & 5th. The i-Berrys band is a 9 piece Celtic, Irish, Pop, Funk, Country, Rock band from Osage Beach. Band founding member Roger Hulett says the mix of music sounds complicated but really isn’t. Hulett says, “You hear a song on the radio, and it either fits the i-Berrys or it doesn’t. The band definitely has a distinct personality that will be apparent in the first live set that some songs just wouldn’t fit”.
