| Spontaneous Serendipity was born in October 2011 with founding members, Michelle Knollhoff and Andrew Busen. They started their adventure playing wineries and fine dining establishments, performing easy listening and jazz. 18 months later they decided to bring on guitar virtuoso, Tim Newell which would widely expand their repertoire and musical abilities. They would shift from easy listening and jazz, to Americana folk rock, infused with solid three part harmonies. Soon after, they would begin the writing process for their first all original album, Bridges. Another year or so later, Spontaneous brought on the bass stylings of Austin Webster, and percussion master, Anthony McKee to fully round out the eclectic sound. Having already received wide acclaim for the album in it’s pre-release, this group of artists is looking forward to the next step in their already busy careers. |

For those who want a fast-paced, head-bobbing jam session, The Surge delivers. Big on energy and crowd interaction, the band can be seen at popular Lake area events such as The Lake of the Ozarks Pub Crawl and St. Patrick's Day. Members are from the Lake and Jefferson City areas. “We are a very upbeat band with danceable music and sing-a-long anthem rock,†says member Shawn Crowe.
The Surge started as four guys jamming together in Doug's basement. They didn’t plan on playing “officiallyâ€, but changed their minds when they received a call from Backwater Jack's to fill in for a band that canceled.

| Alex Hoffer has been playing music in the Midwest for the past five years and has been building a loyal following since doing so. Coming from the city of Joliet, IL and spending more than a few years in Chicago, Alex has been influenced by all kinds of music. You might call it Progressive Rock but, it's easy to pick out the Funk, Blues, Pop and Americana in his songs as well. With or without the band, the music is rhythmically driven and gritty. Alex is currently finishing his first studio record with his band and has recorded two acoustic CD's since 2009. With three weekly shows and a typically full weekend, Alex is one of the hardest working Singer/Songwriters you're ever bound to find. The end of 2015 will mark his first year topping the 200+ mark. An accomplishment that speaks to his work ethic as well as his talent. |
