Don and Suzy Akers have been entertaining together for 36 years. They started in traveling show bands and then moved to the Lake of the Ozarks 30 years ago and started entertaining in one of the top vacation destinations in the country. Don performs as a single act weeknights and Suzy joins him on the weekends. They play a variety of music which includes, rock, disco, country, funk, R&B, oldies to now! They pride themselves on being able to identify with the audience and their music preferences which changes constantly. This ability to be flexible is important in a vacation area as they have people from all over with many tastes in music! They can go from Kenny Chesney to Lady Gaga to Karen Carpenter to Frank Sinatra to Elvis and Abba all in one set! Whatever the crowd wants! They have been blessed to have many of their venues keep them as entertainers for years. Many audience members become lifelong friends and Don and Suzy are happy to see old friends and new come to visit them for a night of fun! Alot of their friends and fans visit from as close as St. Louis, Kansas City and Iowa to as far away as Minnesota, Ft. Myers Beach, South Padre Island and Cocoa Beach Fl!
