The Worst Service ive Ever Received
Added on 08/13/2012 by kmakin@ksu.eduTo start off this is the first time I have ever written a review about any restaurant I have been to and thats because this place was THAT BAD I just had to let it be known. We arrived at about 1PM on a Saturday. By no means would i consider it a "busy" day while we were there probably half full if that.
To start off with it took 3 hrs for us to get our food and from what I could tell it wasnt because they were busy it was because no one was working in the kitchen and I know this because you can see everything thats going on in there and no one was cooking. About an hour and a half into our wait a girl shows up and makes an announcement loud enough for everyone in the bar to here stating "How hung over she was and sorry sh was late to the kitchen staff." So i guess that solves the riddle as to why no one was cooking. Our food finally arrived after 2 hrs and it was mediocre to say the least def not worth waiting 2 hrs for.
Are waiter who was a rude college kid im assuming. He never came back over to ask how we were doing or apologize for the wait. a female we were with had to get up twice and ask someone to take our drink orders or to refill our drinks. After our meal was over we sat there for 30 min waiting for our check. When they came the waiter had combined our tab with another table so he had to go around one by one and asked everyone what they had and run each tab one by one. So after his 10th trip back to the table he finally closed out all of our tabs. The whole time not one apology not one "O im sorry for the delay." just rude smug attitude like we were the idiots messing everything up.
Finally to top off this fine dinning experience. When I got back to KC I see that the waiter ran my card twice for to wrong amounts, so I call the restaurant today to inform them on the incorrect billing and the bartender who answered told me to take it up with my bank.
A long story short this was my first and last time I will ever eat or step foot in the Jerk Shack. If anyone every suggests to go there I will try my absolute hardest to veto that decision and tell anyone who asked how terrible of a place this is.
I give it an F- for customers service and a C on the food

Love It!
Added on 02/26/2011 by daddysgrace@sister.comThis is a quaint, off the beaten place where we enjoyed patio music and a non-smoking atmosphere inside. The food was authentic Jamaican Jerk, the drinks were unique and the staff was amazingly friendly! One of the lake's "hidden treasures". My family had a great time and we will definately return when they reopen!
